Thank you for visiting my website!

Each decade, for the last hundred years or so, it has been possible to look around and feel you’re standing in a whole new world.  Whether we consider politics, science, technology, or culture, our experience as human beings is something that shifts almost too quickly to track.

The image posted above is part of the Hubble space telescope’s historic Deep Field image.   The objects here are strange, as unusual for their youth as for their distance.  In 1999, astronomers discovered that our universe is expanding more quickly by the day, just as its composition is not quite what we’ve expected it to be. So things change, sometimes very quickly, and however well we may understand, the task of understanding is never complete.

In college, I majored in Physics and the Humanities.  Since then I have been an editor, a medical receptionist, and a paralegal.  I have an MFA in Creative Writing, and my current work is media consultation.  It may sound like I am a jack-of-all-trades, but I am fundamentally a student of systems.  I have used this knowledge in the successful  publication and marketing of my writing, in the formation of an enduring artists association, and to market an event of international significance.

After all, the world is in motion, and understanding this requires a breadth of knowledge and the discipline of precision.  It is a worthwhile quest, and one that admirably combines science, art, and work day-by-day.  I hope you’ll be a frequent visitor at connorcoyne.com; that you’ll visit my pages on media consultation (an ever-changing field requiring a big-picture perspective), my experimental writing projects,  and my blog on gothicism in contemporary art.  Please contact me with any questions, and enjoy your fine view of the movement all around you.

Connor’s debut novel, Hungry Rats, will be published by the Gothic Funk Press in the summer of 2010!

Last December, Connor designed and launched PeaceNext, the social network for the world’s largest interreligious gathering.
