Ann Radcliffe’s Italian

Last week, in our discussion of Gothic Heroines and Natural Selection, Flawed Events posted about Jane Austen’s Northanger Abbey as referring to Ann Radcliffe. Austen pokes fun at Radcliffe, and at Gothic fiction in general, throughout Northanger Abbey.
